How do the doctors stay on top of current changes in dentistry?
All of our doctors subscribe to the latest industry journals and attend many hours of continuing education courses each year. Their goal is to always stay abreast of the current techniques and materials in dentistry.

At what age should my child visit the dentist?
We recommend that your child’s first visit to the dentist be within six months of the eruption of their first tooth or by their first birthday. It is never too early to schedule a dental examination and provide preventive care as well as answer any questions you may have about caring for your child’s teeth.

What should I expect during my first visit?
Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and consultation to address any immediate concerns or questions that you may have. We will take any x-rays that are necessary and devise a treatment plan appropriate for you. Please bring any current x-rays as well as all pertinent information regarding your dental insurance, if applicable.

What payment options do you offer?
At Medina Dental, we accept cash, check, and major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We work with most major insurance companies and submit your claims as a courtesy, but we ask that you pay for your estimated portion of treatment at time of service. We also offer Care Credit financing.

How can I safely whiten my teeth?
We offer take-home bleaching trays along with home care instructions and follow-up visits.

Where can I learn more about crowns, bonding, veneers, root canals, etc.?
At your appointment, we will discuss all procedures at length with you and can have you watch patient education videos to clearly explain the treatment recommended. The American Dental Association website is also an excellent source of information.

What do I do when the office is closed and I have an emergency?
Please call our office to get the number of the dentist on call for after hours emergencies. We will contact you as soon as possible and give you any helpful information over the phone and determine if you will need to be seen immediately.

Is your office wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we have multiple handicapped parking spots, wheelchair accessible entry and bathrooms available.
